There will be a Halkin Zoom presentation at 10am on Thursday 25 February 2021, when Christopher Wood, global head of equity strategy at Jefferies, will address the subject “Asia investment strategy in a global context”.

Christopher Wood is the global head of equity strategy at Jefferies, joining in 2019 after two decades at CLSA, where he was managing director and chief strategist.

His flagship weekly newsletter, Greed & Fear, has been published almost without interruption since 1996.

He has been named as the “best strategist” in Asia numerous times by magazines such as Asiamoney and Institutional Investor

Prior to entering the investment business, Chris was a financial journalist. He worked for Hong Kong-based Far Eastern Economic Review between 1982 and 1984 and The Economist between 1984 and 1994, during which he was both New York and Tokyo Bureau Chief.

He has written three much acclaimed books: Boom and Bust: The Rise and Fall of the World’s Financial Markets, published in 1989; The Bubble Economy: Japan’s Extraordinary Speculative Boom of the ’80s and the Dramatic Bust of the ‘90s, published in 1992; and The End of Japan Inc. and How the New Japan Will Look, published in 1994.
